The Atelier Louisville Gallery & Studios, is a collective which traces its origin back to group of artists drawing together from the model in 2007, The Figurative Collective.   We work as a private atelier offering life drawing, workshops and a space for artistic collaboration.  Quarterly All Member Open Houses are scheduled, while keeping the Atelier's original  teaching studio concepts.

Current offerings at Atelier Louisville range from life drawing sessions, instruction in oil painting, watercolor, pastel and mixed media, still life sessions, costume model, life drawing and portrait sessions, and an occasional poetry reading, acoustic or blues music jam.

Over the years, guest instructors have held workshops and classes with this group, such as, John Michael Carter OPAM, Phil Stark, Qiang Huang , Kim English, Bill Fletcher, Claudia Hammer, and with more to come.

Artists from this Collective  offer plein air painting trips, museum trips, critiques, book clubs, movie nights and art openings.

Artist John Michael Carter offers international painting trips, to Italy, Ireland, Prague, France, and China.  Painters have made field trips to the Oil Painters of America National, and regional shows, Dallas, the  Sante Fe New Mexico Artisan Expo, Cincinnati and  local events such as the Speed Museum offerings.

Previously located in Butchertown,  now working in Crescent Hill
,  The Atelier Louisville Gallery & Studios offers an exciting collaborative arts community.
